Introducing the Villa
Our "Bahama Room" is a fabulous great room, outfitted with a 85" Smart flat-screen TV and Direct TV Satellite service. It flows into a professional kitchen with a large butcher block, full island seating, beverage cooler and cocktail bar, and a delightful dining area defined by a hand-crafted Brazilian hardwood table.
Other architectural and decorative features such as vaulted ceilings with stunning fir beams, knotty cypress planks, recessed lighting, overhead Hunter fans, stylish rattan chairs and comfortable lounge sofas, complete the grandeur of this gathering space. French doors introduce infinite natural light, and open to a wraparound veranda where adirondack chairs offer rest to the weary.
The interior design is customized with board and batten walls, ship panel chair rails, cedar trim and pocket doors. The walls are pleasingly colorful and adorned with Bahamian fine art and native craft to reflect the spirit of the islands.
Big Bamboo was envisioned to provide all modern conveniences in a remote island environment. The boutique villa is equipped with a large capacity front-loading washer and dryer, a 450-pound daily capacity ice machine, unlimited hot water, as well as two back-up diesel-powered generators, and a pump house with dual soft well water reverse osmosis systems.
Other features to deliver comfort to our guests include air-conditioning systems, and high-speed internet from the villa to the dock, throughout the entire Big Bamboo estate.
The Themed Suites
Sleeping quarters at the boutique villa are spread over two floors of the spacious dwelling, and consist of four captivating themed bedrooms. Each room has smart televisions and sound bar speakers, ceiling fans, and high-speed internet. The "Pilots Lounge" is a library, with books, music, movies and games, and a futon to accommodate additional guests, if necessary.
The master en-suite, the "Dolphin Room", is a warm, island-inspired retreat, where rich wood finishes and thoughtfully curated details create an atmosphere of relaxed elegance. While the en-suite bath provides privacy, it includes two sinks, an amazing rain shower and whirlpool Jacuzzi tub - a setting that feels both refined and authentically Bahamian.
The villa's split design leads to the "Tuna Room", a cozy oasis with a canopy queen size bed, and views of Fresh Creek waterfront through a vista of lush bamboo and palm trees. Down the hall is the "Sailfish Room", with a cottage style queen bed that overlooks an exotic fruit grove and flower gardens.

Both the Tuna and Sailfish Rooms offer cedar lined closets, colorful quilts and linens, glass doors which privately access exterior verandas, and share a spacious spa quality bathroom with a granite sink, extravagant multi-head rain shower and unlimited fluffy bathing towels.

The "Conch Crawl" is the only sleeping room situated on the lower level, connected by a spiral staircase. The room has two twin beds and a private bathroom with shower. It also has ground floor exits to the south-side gardens, north-side waterfront, and a fully screened Cigar Lounge.
