Arrival & Departure Times: 

Checking in and out of Big Bamboo is flexible, and contingent upon the flight or boat schedule of our guests. 

 

Payment: 

A deposit of 50% of the total amount is required via bank transfer, pay pal, credit or debit card within 10 days of booking to guarantee reservation at Big Bamboo. Final payment is to be received 30 days prior to arrival. 

 

Security Deposit:

A security deposit of $500.00 in cash, or credit card will be held by Big Bamboo upon check-in for any potential property damages or destruction, and will be refunded after inspection of the property upon check-out. 

 

Cancellation Policy:

Kindly note that failure to cancel a reservation within 30 days of the confirmed travel date will result in forfeiture of deposit. Exception to this rule is any of the following acts:  war, or threat of war, riot, civil unrest, unavoidable technical problems with the villa, airport closure, terrorist activity, natural disasters, industrial unrest or disasters, and adverse weather conditions. In the event of cancellation in any of the named circumstances, deposit would be credited towards a future visit within one year of cancellation.    

 

Number of Guests:

Big Bamboo can accommodate 8 guests, including children. Any additional persons must be authorized by management. We reserve the right to review all booking requests on an individual basis, and do not accept applicants under the age of 25 years.

 

Minimum Stays:

Big Bamboo offers guests the freedom to schedule their own vacation, requesting a minimum booking of four (4) nights.

 

Pets:

Only certified assistance or therapy dogs allowed.

 

Conduct & Due Care:

Although we have worked hard to ensure that Big Bamboo provides a safe and secure environment for all our guests, we cannot guard against every eventuality. Therefore, please be advised that the owners, operators and agents of Big Bamboo are not the guardians of any customers safety, and bears no civil or criminal liability for any occurrence of illness, injury, death or other damage, loss or theft to the customer, his property, or his family, heirs, or assigns. 

 

Further, it should be noted that we have no lifeguard on duty, so guest activities such as swimming, snorkeling and boating are done at your own risk, and should be supervised, or accompanied by a competent adult. Safety precaution should also be taken when using stairs, viewing from verandas, and around wet areas including dock and tiled surfaces to prevent slips and falls. We recommend that our clients purchase appropriate  travel insurance to include coverage for illness, personal injury and travel delay/cancellation. 

 

Smoking:

Smoking is prohibited inside the Big Bamboo Villa, but welcomed in the fully screened pool-side Cigar Lounge, as well as anywhere else on the outdoors property.

 

Housekeeping:

Daily housekeeping service is not provided by Big Bamboo,  as we afford guests the privacy and freedom to vacation at their leisure.  If guests so desire, we can make arrangements for maid service to be provided by a private service vendor.  Management trusts that the Big Bamboo premises will be fully embraced with fun, respect and consideration for cleanliness. Therefore, guests are required to leave the premises in an orderly manner to ensure their acceptance for returned visits, and for future guests same enjoyment and pleasure.

 

Food & Beverage Provisions:

Andros is an out-island with limited options for purchasing food and beverage. Our concierge will gladly assist with any requests to purchase provisions while you are on island, or ideally, arrange for pre-stocking of consumable items prior to your travel, so that your provisions will be at Big Bamboo waiting for you; the cost of which will be added to your total bill upon check-out.
